Teaching English Using Technology
The text book entitled “TEACHING ENGLISH USING
TECHNOLOGY” is compiled based on the RPS of LEARNING ENGLISH USING TECHNOLOGY
course which are required for 3rd semester students Department of
English education equally 3 credits (1 theoretical and 2 practical credits).
This course aims to provide students’ knowledge about designing and using of
Information Technology in teaching and learning English. The forms of learning
are tutorials and practice. The forming of assessments are oral and written
tests and rubrics of assessment. Overall, all scopes of this course are
compiled by Ranta Butarbutar, S.Pd., M.Pd. as lecturer of
this course by paying attention to the learning achievement (CPMK &
sub-CPMK):

expected be able to comprehend of basic concepts of information and
communication technology

expected be able to comprehend variety of technology-based English language
learning media

expected be able to choose information technology-based learning media

Students are
expected be able to design and to use information technology-based learning
media

expected be able to use blended learning in learning English
6.
Students are
expected be able to comprehend using information technology applications to
improve four English language skills (writing, reading, listening, and
listening).
