The World of Introduction to Linguistics

Introduction to Linguistics is one of the compulsory subjects for the students of English Education. Meanwhile, textbooks on Introduction to Linguistics are very scarcely available. Due to this fact, the author is motivated to write this book. This book aims to provide the students with basic knowledge of Introduction to Linguistics. By having knowledge, the students will know what language is, what linguistics is, communication and the three systems, the branches of linguistics.

This book is organized into nineth chapters: in Chapter I contain the definition, characteristics and function of language, Chapter II Communication contain the definition of communication and the three systems of communication, Chapter III Linguistics, Chapter IV Devision of Linguistics, Chapter VEnglish Phonology, Chapter VI English Morphology, Chapter VII English Syntax, Chapter VIII English Semantics, and Chapter IX Discourse Analysis.
